Systems Integration and Interfacing to Admitting Systems

Both standalone workstation as well as server-based systems can be integrated into your other computer systems via the Discharge 1-2-3 interface modules. Both incoming and outgoing interfaces are available.

The Discharge 1-2-3 system can be integrated to virtually any admitting system via a real-time HL7 incoming interface module. The interface is extremely stable and reliable. It can be very quickly deployed and is backward and forward compatible with all versions of HL7.

An optional outgoing interface is available as well. This interface will allow the DC123 data to be exported on a regular basis to a central record repository or other system for archiving purposes

Optional Devices and Platforms

The Discharge 1-2-3 system was designed with foresight into the requirements of a variety of platforms and to be make it as flexible as possible.  The software requires no special hardware and works with minimal requirements on your existing system, but it supports some specialized devices advanced networks as well, should you want to use them.  A variety of devices such as touchscreens, tablet PCs, and wireless networks can be used to make the user experience even better.

Specially designed for touchscreen compatibility (optional)

Discharge 1-2-3 was designed to meet the special constraints required for touchscreen use.  A touchscreen is definitely not required and the system is very fast with your standard mouse, but if you choose to use a touchscreen, the system can be even faster.

Use of a touchscreen does not mean you need to throw away your mouse.  On the contrary - a touchscreen will work in addition to your mouse so that you can use all your old programs on the same machine exactly as you did before.  However, with Discharge 1-2-3 you will be able to use a touchscreen or a mouse, changing back and forth at will.

We are ready for the future and you will be ready too... Even if you don't use these optional devices now, you will be ready if the time will come. Discharge 1-2-3 can go mobile with the best.  The system works very well with a variety of tablet PCs and is a natural for handwriting recognition use. Of course what good is a tablet PC if you have the tethers of wires or worse yet, an application that brings your wireless network to its knees?  The DC123 system employs a technical design that optimizes network use in ways that make it very fast and make your IT director smile.

Discharge 1-2-3 works well on your standard desktop computer, but if you are ready to go mobile, Discharge 1-2-3 is ready too. DC123 will function with tablet PCs and mobile computing devices such as wheeled cart laptops, and other hand-held PC devices.  The interface is well designed to work with the special input devices these systems may have such as pen-pad screens, and handwriting recognition.

The system also works well over wireless networks just as well as it does on standard network connections.
